The development of the Internet and the positive contribution it can make in various fields is phenomenal - yet the potential negative impact is also overwhelming. As far as young people are concerned, it can be fuelled by the fire of pre-existing addictions or wrong lifestyle choices and thus develop into a devastating effect with the same force as a tsunami.
The focus in this book is on developments around the so-called digital invasion in recent years as well as the tremendous impact on the thinking and general approach of many children and young people. Among other things, attention is also paid to the two clearly distinguishable groups, namely digital natives (those born before 1980) versus digital immigrants (those born after 1980) and the huge challenge to immigrants to just keep up - every grandparent will be able to thoroughly testify to this. As far as the natives (the younger generation) are concerned, several problem areas and pitfalls are pointed out, together with various practical and pastoral guidelines.
